FL: Citizens group forms to defeat West Palm Beach's two proposed charter amendments at the polls

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — West Palm Beach voters will see two proposed charter amendments on the ballot this month, and a newly formed citizen's group is trying to defeat them.

Mayor Keith James' office proposed the changes to the city charter that would state that:

*Commission or mayoral candidate must live in the city for 12 months before an election; not the current six months.

*The mayor would not be allowed to have another job or financial interests that could conflict with city business.
