it just banned CNN, MSNBC, and FOX.
It's the YMCA.
Nobody had a problem to my knowledge. Sometimes, there'd be both FOX and MSNBC. We co-existed.
This is depressing to me. I liked to go on the treadmill and watch Nicole Wallace and catch up on the day.

I mean, it's a gym. There are a bunch of basketball tournaments going on.

(4,716 posts)there should be no politics at the gym.
One of the reasons I stopped going to my gym is because half of the TVs were tuned in to Fox.
(also because of back surgery
) I'm reluctant to return.

(39,086 posts)TVs tuned to Fox. I would see nearly every TV on the elliptical machines and stationary
bikes tuned to Fox. They also had a row of about 6 TVs in one area and most were on Fox.
The manager was a MAGA, he would set every TV on Fox before they opened, you had to
ask one of the employees if they would change channels. I finally got fed up and quit, then I
started going to Planet Fitness, they have a line of 20 TVs with 10 channels permanently set
on each side. They have MSNBC, Fox, CBS, NBC, HGTV, History, ESPN, Discover
and couple others, there are no problems. Another thing at the old gym people would
sit and hold up weight machines talking on the phone, at Planet Fitness you are supposed to go to the
lobby to make a call.

It's only audio no video. But, it's an option you might be able to use.

(37,651 posts)Cut my cable and miss MSNBC. I usually look for videos the next day on DU. This helps.

(37,651 posts)Local tv and radio stations. Like a gold mine for me. I have terrible vision and would rather just listen. I wonder how much Premium is?

(812 posts)The Doctor's brother complained . Now it is on TVLAND. which shows reruns of The Rifleman, Andy Griffith and Wagon Train. I actually enjoy the old reruns and usually end up in nostalgic conversations with others.

Been like that for quite some time, too. So, people who need their Matt Dillon fix are all set.

(20,897 posts)By going to the App Store and installing the MSNBC live app to your phone. You can be anywhere there is WiFi and enjoy your shows.
I do that as well to watch NETFLIX shows.

(16,270 posts)Get a pair of noise cancelling headsets with Bluetooth. No wires. Put the phone on the treadmill or in your pocket. Works like a charm.
