2. What confuses me

Vaccinations for my children back in the day vaccinations for my kids l remember it being between myself and my pediatrician. I don't remember the schools being involved. My memories of my own vaccinations were also with my doctor. When did schools get involved? Maybe they were always involved I just don't remember 😕

4. My mother was a nurse who took care of patients in iron lungs.

Before she joined the military back during the Korean War.

The iron lung patients made quite an impression on her, in a very bad way.
Even more so than when later she as a USAF nurse in a stateside MASH receiving military hospital.

Let's just say that when the polio vaccine came out for her children and distributed at school
she was one happy mom.
