Authoritarian is more accurate and descriptive.

Fascism is a 20th Century term for authoritarian behavior that is as old as mankind.

Today's Republican Party has virtually nothing in common with Eisenhower or any actual "conservative" philosophy.

The only things they want to conserve are white supremacy and concentrated wealth in the hands of a few white men.
