South Korea's ruling PPP (Right Wing) ahead in polls one month before general election

With one month to go before South Korea's general election, polls show the ruling People Power Party in the lead over the largest opposition Democratic Party.

South Korea holds general elections every four years. Voters will cast their ballots on April 10.

Poll results published by Gallup Korea on Friday show the PPP had an approval rating of 37 percent, with the Democratic Party at 31 percent.

The election is seen as a midterm assessment of the administration of President Yoon Suk-yeol, who has been in office for nearly two years.
