Voter ID is justified with bogus "fraud" accusations

And we know that fraud doesn't really exist.
But even that low bar isn't met with other voting. How can anyone see the attacks on early voting and mail in voting as anything but pure voter suppression?

I don't see how this is a "both sides" story. It's just the story of one Party stopping people from voting.

It's just another form of voter suppression. Not every voter has an ID. If your name is on the voter role and the signature can be matched to the one they have on file when you registered, that's all that is needed. It's been that way forever until the republicans came up with this idea purely as a way of suppressing the vote. They, themselves, admit that, the fewer people who vote, the better their chances of "winning."

24th Amendment:
The right of citizens of the United States to vote in any primary or other election for President or Vice President, for electors for President or Vice President, or for Senator or Representative in Congress, shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or any State by reason of failure to pay poll tax or other tax.

The Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

An ID is a poll tax, you're burdening people with the cost of purchasing and getting a state ID. Even if you start offering these IDs for free, it's still a violation of the 24th amendment by requiring voters to apply for an ID.

This is clear. The problem is the SCOTUS doesn't care about the Constitution anymore, they care about Republicans gaining more power.

I was using fraud in quotes, and say it was bogus, to show their argument. Not to say it was valid. I was trying to show that these other things don't even have that justification. Sorry if that did not come through.

The Republicans have completely forgotten or maybe didn’t know ever the purpose of elections. Which is to determine the will of the people. You don’t get to vote because Of your skill in filling out forms. We need everybody’s input, disabled people, old people l, young people voting the first time, this is the way they keep marginalized groups from voting so they can screw them with laws. It’s a pretty well-known fact that when we have a big turn out the Democrats win

Greg Abbott when he was Texas AG could point to no cases of in person voter fraud in the trial of the Texas voter id law.

Here are examples of republicans committing other forms for voter fraud
