Bloodbath at RNC: Trump team slashes staff at committee

Politico

Donald Trump’s newly installed leadership team at the Republican National Committee on Monday began the process of pushing out dozens of officials, according to two people close to the Trump campaign and the RNC.

All told, the expectation is that more than 60 RNC staffers who work across the political, communications and data departments will be let go. Those being asked to resign include five members of the senior staff, though the names were not made public. Additionally, some vendor contracts are expected to be cut.

In a letter to some political and data staff, Sean Cairncross, the RNC’s new chief operating officer, said that the new committee leadership was “in the process of evaluating the organization and staff to ensure the building is aligned” with its vision. “During this process, certain staff are being asked to resign and reapply for a position on the team.”

The overhaul is aimed at cutting, what one of the people described as, “bureaucracy” at the RNC. But the move also underscores the swiftness with which Trump’s operation is moving to take over the Republican Party’s operations after the former president all but clinched the party’s presidential nomination last week.

A lifer still has reasons not to break laws. Privileges that make their life better inside, like staying out of solitary confinement, being able to phone and have in-person visits with loved ones, being able to use computers and libraries, having access to a TV/radio, and so on.

Just because they're in prison doesn't mean they don't have reasons to follow rules.

Too bad so many in 2016 had to "hold their noses" if they voted for Hillary and made sure everybody knew about it.

And no (not talking to anyone here) voting for her anyway isn't the point, the point is when you rag on someone constantly around friends and/or strangers, some of them will end up deciding there is no point in voting at all.

Rather vague, but I think the M$M narrative got to her.

Never thought I'd say this about the infrastructure of the GOP, but the Trumps are inflicting deep institutional damage to the workings of American democracy. The push-and-pull between the major parties created a quasi-stable environment where both victor and opposition maintained interest in preserving the nation and its democratic underpinnings. Not anymore, though.

Now the entire Republican party constitutes a direct threat to democracy. It will need to be thoroughly crushed and flushed, or at least re-staffed, in its entirety, before our nation can credibly rebuild. We The People must show up in force in every election henceforth to grind down the current menace and prevent it from resurfacing in a generation. Our trusting, slothful neglect has led us to the predicament we now face, enabling a corrupt faction to seize control over many of the levers of government. It has to go, and quickly before it stinks up the place and spreads more than it already has.

Not that the RNC has been great, but they are the national Republican committee with knowledge and access to the "ground game" in many states. If Trump manages this like he has any of his companies, this is good news for Democrats. He will replace competent people with lackeys and then wonder why there was not GOTV infrastructure.

Kind of like the Russian Army. Sure it looked great on paper but all the generals loyal to Putin were crooks who had a "grand army" on paper and pocketed the actual money for ammunition, equipment, and training.

The amazing thing: They don't even realize he is bringing about the death of the party. You think he's going to want to allocate advertising funds to Congressman Whoever from Middle-of-nowhere Oklahoma? His endorsement is all they need, and they are just losers if they don't win on their own!
