Biden will never catch up with Trump by November. Its an impossible task.
In order to catch up with Trump, hed have to:
Get rid of the nearly 20 million jobs added since he took over
Crash the stock market, driving it down by at least quarter
Sell out our country to Putin
Increase the deficit by more than any other president
Launch an assault on the Capitol aimed at killing members of Congress
Singlehandedly ruin our relations with our NATO allies
Lose a billion dollars in one year literally more than anyone else in America
Go bankrupt 6 times
Ignore a plague killing thousands daily
Sexually assault multiple women (and brag about it on video)
All this in 8 months? Its impossible.

(60,154 posts)There are certainly enough people on here who think I don't deserve them.
They might not be wrong, either!
Eighteen years! That means I was 54 when I joined. That seems soooooooo long ago.........

(60,154 posts)And I am on a two hours late crowded train from Paris to Düsseldorf, so I have nowhere to hide!
Thanks to you as well, by the way. Sometimes I never know I have stepped on toes I never intended to step on.

If you have to cry you can also throw in a fake sneeze and feign allergies.

(72,131 posts)A man I envy a great deal. Living the dream over there in Europe.
I should have requested an extension to my tour in Germany back when I was in the Army. I loved it over there, and I can't wait to go back. Next time I go, I'm bringing Mrs. Aristus to share it with.

(60,154 posts)Case in point, I have to be in Spain for 3 days starting tomorrow, and she usually comes, but can't this time.
Tthe dream isn't always so dreamy, either, as right now, for example. I got up at 4:30 this morning to get the first train down to Paris. That part worked out pretty well, and the train back to Düsseldorf left more or less on time, too, just before 6 PM. It's a four hour trip. But--just before the German-Belgian border, the train made an odd noise and stopped cold. For about 45 minutes, we got no information, and then just periodic announcements that there was an "unknown object on the tracks." Well, it doesn't take an engineer an hour to dismount from his engine and walk back to see what he hit. Judging from all the police cars and ambulances that showed up after over an hour, it's clear that what we hit wasn't a "what," but rather a "whom." When they never tell the passengers anything, that's usually the case.
So, after two hours in the dark, both figuratively and literally, we are finally on our way again. My wife was going to pick me up at 10, eat a late night snack, and I was going to do a quick last minute packing to get up again at 4 AM in order to be at the airport for my 6:30 flight down to Barcelona. Well, the flight isn't being postponed for my benefit (the nerve, right?) though I won't be home before midnight, if that. So, I'll end up getting about 2½ hours of sleep plus whatever nap I can steal on the 2 hour flight down to Spain. Then I have to work from 9:30 nonstop to about 7 PM, and then crash at my favorite hotel, sadly without my wife's company. It's not always a dream, believe me! Would I trade my job for another? No way, no how, never. But It's not always glamor and excitement, I'm afraid.
