The biggest attack on Russian soil since the Second World War continues as waves of attack drones continue to fall on Russian oil refineries, military bases, and security services for a second straight day.
At least 60 drones were spotted over not less than seven Russian regions overnight on March 13, with at least seven more in a morning wave, Russias Defense Ministry announced.
A major oil refinery is ablaze in Ryazan, military bases were targeted in Voronezh, and an FSB building was damaged in Belgorod as multiple waves of drones continue to fall in regions across Russia. A missile threat was also reported by the Governor of Kursk Oblast.
The waves of drones are a continuation of attacks on March 12 that saw Russia deal with at least 25 drones over nine regions that struck at least two oil facilities.

What makes you think "the Russian People" are on the US or Ukraine's side?

People have been advised to leave the area.
The force is not only the Freedom for Russia and Russian Volunteer Corps from brief incursions last year, they;ve been joined by the Siiberian Battalion and a large group from Chechnya.
A lot more Russians than we know of seem to have fought for Ukraine over the last 2 years and fulfilled their one year contracts. That's basically who these guys are.
How far will they get and what will Putin use to try to stop them? I have no idea. Will RosGardiya join them? Will Putin nuke his own country in a desperate attempt to stop this and save his own skin (it won't work)?
I hate living in such interesting times. I would imagine most Russians do, too.

(114,615 posts)but it's also a convergence of events like the murder of Navalny and the prospect of a massive military mobilization once Putin is rubberstamped back into office by the stupid and fearful. It's likely too late to affect the election, itself, but an "election" this obviously rigged in favor of a madman who's destroying their country is largely irrelevant.
I think they were only waiting for sufficient numbers to fulfill their year loing contracts to fight for Ukraine plus amass enough liberated Russian gear to make them a formidable force. I'm not sure how far they'll get in this, but I recognize this is no hit and run operation like we saw last year. They mean business this time.
