20. Here's the speech clip. I'd say the truth is "in between."

In context, he seems to be basically saying, "If I get elected, the auto industry will do great because of my tariff policy. If I don't, it will be a bloodbath," again, talking about the health of the American auto industry. But then he adds the tag, "that will be the least of it." He could well have meant that the economic fallout of him losing the election will go far beyond the auto industry (and IIRC, that's what his campaign is claiming, according to the CNN report).

But even as we in the opposition tend to read what we expect of him (i.e. the worst) into everything he says, the MAGA extremists read what they expect (i.e. the worst) into his statements as well. A general national bloodbath may or may not be what he meant (and I think probably not, agreeing with Renew Deal in post #18), but it kind of doesn't matter because, as William Seger said in post #11, "it doesn't matter what he meant, what matters is what his cult heard."
