Needs to be completely unredacted and released ASAP. This would help the AG reputation and maybe help save our democracy.

And it is evident that the coup is continuing a pace, without interference from any US agencies. How does this get stopped? This is scaring the shit out of me!

Doing more.

Getting out of our comfort zones. Registering voters. Talking to people we see, including professionals. Most Americans are turned off by the news, so they actively change the channel. So our role includes finding out if they are aware of DJT's plan in partnership with the Heritage Foundation to implement Project 2025. Educating people – citing sources (otherwise we are going to sound like conspiracy theorists – which I found out the hard way with several friends – Democrats, no less – yesterday).

Writing letters, sending postcards, phone banking, donating. Door knocking. House parties (those were an effective tool when Howard Dean ran – and all the research is the most difference is made by in-person interactions). Making sure everyone you know who is old enough votes. Creative types writing songs or ads, recording personal videos (if we are comfortable doing so).

Also, taking care of yourself, resting, R&R, time with family and friends. Find ways to manage any anxiety. Music, talking with friends, etc. (I subscribed to Jack Hopkin's newsletter and find his pragmatic approach and strategies very helpful.)

All the while staying ready for a possible, maybe likely, coup attempt even if Biden wins. The wider the margin in as many races as possible, not just for President, the harder it will be for him and the Bannon's and Mike Flynn's to succeed. Being braced and ready, while not letting that hold us back.

She started off by saying "This is about us," which is my only sticking point.

Of course she was ingenius to connect Manafort as a money extractor with oligarchs Klimnik and Deripaska in 2016 to Trump's current need for Manafort to get him more money in 2024. My hair stood on end as I saw her paint the picture for the rest of the campaign, and possibly even RNC's "funding," maybe even the american carnage 2.0 lingo we'll be hearing on the runup to the July RNC.

Maybe by the end of this week -- we'll see what Manafort tries to do. And if he knows how to do anything even remotely legal.

But the main thing is that they committed multiple crimes, which means that the only us are those who vote Trump out in battlegrounds, so that there's only "them." They and their RNC conduit are the anti-democracy criminal syndicate, and so far they've failed to drag the rest of us along with them.

Our beating them on Nov 5 is the only thing that makes this about us.

He and Stone and Atwater (deceased) effectively started K street over 50 years ago. They alone reopened the floodgates of money that had at least been mostly closed off since the depression into the political game. There were only a few full time lobbyists in Washington before them and Nixon. There were over a thousand after Carters term. Manafort took his show on the road for the next 40 years, selling access at first to DC insiders and politicians to then showing people with tons of money how to completely take over the political structure in there countries. His footprints are all over Central America, Africa, the Middle East and East Asia besides his work for Oligarchs on behalf of Putin. He is more dangerous than an international arms dealer and should be executed. Shits gonna hit the fan wherever he pops up. Guaranteed.

THE SWAMP
BUILDERS
How Stone and Manafort helped create the mess Trump promised to clean up.

n that particular April 1 in Washington, in the midst of a presidential primary season trending toward a Reagan landslide, Paul Manafort had a lot to celebrate.

The Republican operative with the thick, meticulously parted black hair and magnetic smile was turning 31. And by a quirk of bureaucratic fate, his new business happened to be officially launching on that same day in 1980.

The little shop that Manafort opened in Alexandria, Va., was envisioned as a political consulting business, like so many others in the capital. But in the coming months — as the candidate he worked for, Ronald Reagan, swept into the White House — Manafort had another idea to bounce off his two partners, Charlie Black and Roger Stone.

They should be lobbyists, too.

“I said, ‘Why in the hell would we want to do that? It’s boring as hell!’ ” Black recalled in a recent interview. “Paul said it wasn’t at all boring.”

Manafort had one more thing to say: “It paid well.” . .

One of the first clients of the firm they christened Black, Manafort & Stone was a New York developer named Donald J. Trump, brought into their portfolio by Stone, who’d met him through the notorious Gotham lawyer Roy Cohn.

The brash Reagan boys would become essential architects of the city Trump now dominates, a place where the line between the lobbyists and the lobbied is so blurred that some question whether it exists at all.

By the time their business was born, they were already expert navigators of loopholes — Black and Stone, along with GOP operative John T. “Terry” Dolan, had founded the National Conservative Political Action Committee, best known as Nick-Pac, five years earlier. The hyperaggressive group was one of the first to bundle contributions to circumvent limits on individual campaign contributions, and was a precursor to the rise of super PACs, which candidate Trump lambasted four decades later as prime examples of Washington’s swamp problem.'>>>

The farther you dig into that POS the uglier it gets. He's at least partly responsible for 10s of thousands of deaths of innocent people in Africa and Central America. He got his seed money with his little gang then took his money hungry death machine on tour.

The Secret Papers of Lee Atwater, Who Invented the Scurrilous Tactics That Trump Normalized
