How certain are you that the Supreme Court will deny "absolute immunity" to Trump?

In my opinion, Trump wants the Court to just say there is some sort of "immunity" and he and the Republicans will take care of the rest of it.

They don't have to say there is "absolute immunity".

All Trump needs is just an opening so he can spin it for his cult and sycophants.

Trump only wants the Court to say there is some "immunity" in some instances.

That is all that he needs.

He will take that to the trial with him.

9-0. It’ll hold until a trial and they’ve taken care that won’t happen either.

Trump will not be granted immunity by SCOTUS.

PERIOD.

They might fuck around with the timing of their ruling, but that’s it.

... but going the other way, I'm like 90% confident that they try to carve out some sort of allowable immunity, and maybe only for Trump (cf. Bush v Gore).

These people can’t be trusted one bit. I can see them carving out a special, cannot be used as precedent, one time grant for him.

We’re over the fascist cliff already.

9. Isn't that exactly what they did with Bush v Gore?

I seem to recall that exact wording; a “one time special exemption” to hand the highest office in the land to an imbecile.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they said it only applies to him and stays in effect should he become President again.

We’re there.

I expect a "narrow" ruling that literally names him only as being immune. After all, who can tell them no? They are the final word and corruption at their level has literally no consequences.

I'm thinking they may try and kick the can back to a lower court by not making a decision. Or find some other way to duck and cover their asses.

In either case it will up to the voters to decide whether they want an obvious criminal and rapist for president.

15. They will clear him of insurrection but say that only applies to this case, is my guess.

They will not give him unlimited immunity, that would kill SCOTUS and they know it. They will, I bet, give him immunity for 1/6 and say it was only due to those circumstances and refuse proof that they there was no major voting fraud because of course poor tsf couldn't have known that at the time - so no 1/6 case. Of course they wouldn't have heard the case if it was a Dem, but they are fascists through and through the Injustice 6 totally are.

Wonder if they will also approve him stealing all of our national secets and profiting from them - bet they will.
