Is the Washington Post still a quality newspaper?

I have not followed it for years, preferring to use sites like DU to cull through the news from a variety of sources and writers, which include the WP.

I decided to subscribe for a year to the WP, placing emphasis on the political news, but the paper seems so sanitized to me. I had to double check to make sure I hadn't subscribed to the Washington Times. I've done searches in the WP, one topic being General Milley, and the bylines make it sound like Milley was a trouble-maker who deserved to be gone. I can't find anything about Trump calling for his assassination. And now Trump is bashing Milley again.

Sen. Tuberville search results covered when he was holding up military promotions, but nothing about his "satanic cult" description of liberalism.

Is the WP too upper echelon to cover standard RW commentary?

2. While they still attempt to "both sides" the hell out of topics, they are a decent paper. Compared to the WSJ or NYT,

they are an excellent paper.

3. We dropped NYT and for two years

I have subscribed to WaPo.
There have been some solidly researched articles (not all the time of course) but quite a few that I have reposted. Some wiht some fantastic interactive graphics.

Almost all of my news comes from independent sources but I do subscribe to WaPo for the good info from them sometimes.

6. I subscribe to the NYT, WaPost and WSJ.

NYT and Post digital editions. WSJ print. All three are good papers with their strengths and weaknesses.

7. I think WaPo is the best national paper.

I've subscribed for years. They are fairly good at reporting on Republican behaviors but they do run some very annoying right wing columnists. That's to be expected. Half our fellow Americans think that way.

Jennifer Rubin! Sh never gets it wrong, imo. Also Dana Milbank for his brilliant and eviscerating satire.
