I was wondering. That Texas law that allows the state to arrest undocumented immigrants. Yet the Colorado case about removing Trump from the ballot was squashed. SCOTUS seems to be in direct contradiction. States cant remove Trump because its Federal, yet a state can basically enact its own immigration policy. It just confirms to me that SCOTUS is completely corrupted.

(10,117 posts)I understand the reasoning behind not letting a state take someone off a federal election. That follows the concept that the federal govt has say over state govt and I agree that we cant have states taking whoever they want off federal elections.
Flip it though, all of the justices that voted for the Colorado decision then flipped and said state laws over-ride federal laws for texas are the ones not being consistent. The three liberal justices who voted against Colorado and against texas are.
