The UK's representative to the Security Council says she is "deeply disappointed" that Russia and China did not back the US draft resolution.
Dame Barbara Woodward says the UK had voted for an "an immediate and sustained ceasefire", to free Israeli hostages, and to "urge against a ground offensive into Rafah".
She says the UK will continue to do "everything we can" to get aid into Gaza, but asserts that an immediate cessation of hostilities is needed to get the required amount of aid into the enclave.

Meanwhile, the right-wing young-earth doomsday cult wants to invite Netanyahu to address Congress again in another middle-finger salute to a Democratic President.

is another criminal. He wants to prolong this conflict cause he doesn't want to be held accountable for his crimes either. He's Israel's tRump.

The Israelis said they "could live with" the resolution. China and Russia are enemies of Israel. They are not all in for Netanyahu.
Russia and China vetoed a U.S.-sponsored resolution at the United Nations Security Council on Friday which would have declared "the imperative of an immediate and sustained cease-fire" in the Israel-Hamas war. Russia's ambassador to the U.N., Vassily Nebenzia, said the draft language did not go far enough, and that the council must "demand" a cease-fire
