Pro Goldwater ad from 1964...

I'll just bet the Rethugs would have been glad that there was no YouTube in later days...amazing....

For the young'uns here, Raymond Massey was an actor who was in some great films and TeeVee including Things To Come about the post-apocalyptic world after WWII shot in the mid-Thirties! Also, he was Dr. Kildare's humanistic chief of staff in his hospital. This was a clever attempt to change people's feelings that Goldwater was a warmonger.

This may have been the original "I'm as mad as hell, and I'm not gonna take it any more". Great viewing, dangerous candidate.

in 1940's Abe Lincoln in Illinois. In the end, however, big-screen gravitas lent no credibility to Barry Goldwater's campaign.
