Trump pretending to be an Artist, could make a lot of money.

Could Trump paint pictures and then, legitimately, sell them for 100's of millions each?

The buyers would be those buying power.
But, would it get around illegal gifting?
Or be a tax loophole for donating to his legal defenses?

Like right now, could a country just give him large sums of money, or could they more easily do this by buying his paintings?

he couldn't get into art school. W took up painting, though he's not quite as good at it as Hitler was, but his paintings are for sale, not for millions. If Trump took up painting his work would look like that of a young, profoundly untalented child, but his cult members would probably pay any price for it.

Pretty sure Donny would follow in his dear leader's footsteps were he to attempt to try his tiny hand at painting -- I seem to recall he couldn't even figure out how to sketch out an American flag with a bunch of first-graders during one of his presidential appearances some years ago...

a fuss, but Hunter Biden sold some original art at a good price. The difference is that Biden’s art was/is quite good, though not affordable to most.

I remember George Zimmerman— who murdered an unarmed teenager — made a little money painting confederate flags. Would expect something similar from trump.

Unless he took spray paint, aimed it at a canvas for two minutes and sprayed.

He may be better off playing paintball.

Anyway, book deals and honoraria with inflated payouts
are more conventional ways to run this grift.

And he doesn't do that.

At most, he would claim to have painted things, but, in reality, he'd have bullied some Third World brown person to do the actual art, then stiffed them on the proceeds when the artwork sold.

Artwork is typically worth more when the artist is dead.

Just sayin'
