US warns Russia about an impending terrorist attack, what's the response?
* Putin publicly rejects it
* But adds (checking notes) the gay community as a whole to "terrorists and extremists"
* Russia continues bombing Ukraine in something that if anyone else did, it would be called terrorism
If you're mad or upset at ISIS for what happened, be sure to also be mad or upset at Putin.

(26,694 posts)At this point my exclusive concern is how this will be used to make things even worse for the Ukrainians, and Putin seems to be working it in that direction.
I really hope that Biden can find some way to get some meaningful military support to Ukraine. He evidently managed to do it for Israel, which needs the assistance far less than Ukraine does.

Hitler somehow "secretly" amassed 3 million men on the Soviet border and attacked, surprising the Soviet army and overrunning most of European Russia before the attack wore down and petered out on the outskirts of Moscow.
It's a common fault of autocrats, ignoring shit you don't want to hear. trump does it too, all the time. Anything that doesn't fit the fantasy gets ignored until it's too late.
