I haven't kept up with it too closely, but I sense a note of irony in pundits like Steve Schmidt expressing fears and loathing of this newly selected /deselected / cancelled "contributor".
Schmidt himself was the head of day to day operations for the McCain campaign and served under GW Bush. Sure, he was a bad campaign manager, but when working under Karl Rove he spouted more right wing lies than... than... well that record is now moot, but the point is, he still works at NBC. And what about Nicole Wallace, GW's press secretary? We all love to hear the former head of the RNC, Michael Steele, talk.
At times I think these people are the world's most underrated thespians, able to turn sides and take up loyalty to whoever pays the bills.
I'm not sure why they drew the line at Ronna McDaniels, but I notice she now believes Joe Biden was elected fair & square. It just sounds like the same woman got handed a new script.
How am I wrong? What did I miss that makes Ronna McDaniel a hot potato?

(55,454 posts)That's what I recall. I don't see how she has any credibility now that she's the opposite of what she said all along.

(100,133 posts)The GOP that Steve Schmidt and Rick Wilson used to gleefully work for like a pair of Tricksters is dead, and the rotting corpse stinketh without a proper burial.
They are both Never Trumpers, trying to allay the real-world damage of Trump and the MAGA GOP.
Ronna, as others are pointing out, is all in for Trump and tried to stall the process of certifying the vote, among other things. Shes a far-RW hack.

(4,614 posts)then she'll start to make up for all her lying. Why she thinks she owes him loyalty...
See, what's funny is, she can't get on Fox News because despite all her kowtowing, Trump has thrown her to the wolves, so Fox would never hire her.
She'll collect the big paycheck from NBC, and never appear, because she's no good on TV anyway.

(9,057 posts)and for a bit more of why we are hissing at McDaniel on NBC, there's a DU thread with a pretty good example that she did more than just usual campaign stuff, she was part of the subversive attempt to overthrow the election. BIG DIFFERENCE from basic campaign work.

(114,224 posts)false elector scam in Michigan. She's a liar through and through.
THis isn't just bringing on a conservative or, like Michael Steele a former Republican and RNC leader. She is in a criminal category of her own.
Want to see documentation? She should be in jail for her role in the fake elector scheme, not on NBC:

The above is a good place to start, but please read further. There is a lot on DU and elsewhere today to show you who she really is. We defend these MAGA criminals and their attempts to rehabilitate at our own harm.
