As far as I can tell the Appellate Court

only reduced the amount of the Bond TSF must post to appeal. Not the amount of the judgement. If he loses his appeals, he would still owe the $450+ million.
Do I have that correct?

"Donald Trump is still facing accountability for his staggering fraud. The court has already found that he engaged in years of fraud to falsely inflate his net worth and unjustly enrich himself, his family, and his organization. The $464 million judgment – plus interest – against Donald Trump and the other defendants still stands," James said in a statement.

The contract he has says that he is only allowed to sell a small percentage of his shares a quarter. While they could do him a solid and let him sell more, it would be self defeating.

Already the shares are worth less than they were before the merger. As soon as he sells any shares, their value will sink like a rock.

Anything Trump touches dies.

...the question is why?

There is no financial hardship involved.

There is no justification for making it easier for a convicted fraudster to keep frauding.

It is wrong to apply their power in such a publicly biased way and diminish our population's faith in justice even furthar than it is altlready diminished.

It will be totally devoid of legal validity. I still have hope they will find no legal basis to reverse the findings. The burden is on them, and there is a higher bar. Habba practically threw the appeal in the trash.

The bond reduction was just an emotional appeal. It wasn't related to the merits of the case.

It was only related to his ability to post a substantial bond.

Let's let it play out.

He has to put up less to file the appeal he has planned.

Trump got bad news today, though. The hush money criminal trial begins with jury selection on April 15. Trump was in court today for that ruling. He's not happy about it. Not one bit. That trial will include his being present during the trial. Cuts into his campaigning a bit, that does.

so they are not desperate to collect the full amount of the judgment as soon as possible. If it was an individual or another company that was damaged and needed the funds to stay afloat it would be more critical to get as much of the full amount secured as quickly as possible.
