It also happens when one of them puts a ludicrous item on ebay, the way that Zimmerman did when he put up a projector-inspired painting and got ridiculous bids for it. Someone had a good amount of money to pass on to them, and it was being done in plain sight. It could even be a sum that came from someone passing the hat. These guys are probably good at laundering money.
