And NBC News thought they needed another "Republican"?

That is the goal and their revenue stream is based on eyeballs. If they could get you to watch a test pattern 24 hours a day, that is what they would broadcast.

(131,241 posts)It doesn't bother me that he's on MSNBC; I don't want all of its talking heads to just reinforce my biases. I'd like to think I'm able to think for myself well enough to determine whether and when any of them are purveying bullshit. But McDaniel was something else altogether; she was an active participant in TFG's minions' attempts to subvert the election, and NBC should never have even considered hiring her. But I don't have a problem hearing opposing ideas now and then.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
