I say, Childless people and seniors paid taxes for YOU to get an education when you were a child because back then we all wanted excellent schools and an educated populace.

Taxes are how we repay for the benefits we have received to date living in a civilized society.
Those who benefit the most should pay more for that grace.

One may not now have kids in school, but we all live in the world run and managed by those who were and who will be educated, or not!
In a world of the ill-educated, one has to do everything one's self to get it right.
Or, one has to have it redone wrong over and over.

Bottom line: it's not about you.

I do.

Though I live in a Senior Living facility, the facility pays property taxes that support schools. I pay local sales taxes that goes for various things.

So people who are already supporting kids at home, often paying for daycare etc., should ALSO
pay more taxes? That’ll go over well.
More from the cult of selfishness.

“I don’t have kids, but I paid taxes to put YOUR kids through school, which was surely a waste of money because your kids are probably as stupid as you.”

This was something I saw a deer friend post. I never get caught up in this shit, but I couldn’t let that stand. I will add some of your words to my argument.
