Is he really smart enough?

Been thinking.... Is TFG really smart enough and/or capable of coming up with ALL the wacko stuff that comes out of his cult parties and from his No-truth Social blab-fests? He reads from teleprompters and mumbles his lies.
Question is: WHO in his inside group is coming up with the ideas and directions to go at all times of the day and night? There must be some dark figures who write and feed their RNC/GOP mouthpiece.
Am I the ONLY one who thinks that the nut job just isn't smart enough to come up with all the regurgitated stuff that he spews?
Food for thought?

He's an foxnews addict and online troll who stepped into the spotlight. That's basically it.

his reality is that he is the center of the universe. he gets a smidgen of news and twists it to serve his needs. gets another smidgen and same thing and so on. also you may notice he does not address issues, he pretty much says the same thing over and over. when he really gets animated is when he's degrading his "enemies." hatred is his lifeblood.

The crap that passes for policy positions probably comes mostly from Bannon and Miller.

He's insane, but I don't believe he's coming up with all of the production plans for things like gold shoes or "patriotic" Bibles. There is a man behind the curtain.

I just don't see any real strategies coming from his campaign, just the same procedures he's been using since he came to the political statge: shouting, lieing, and playing the victim when it's time for the consequences. I don't see that as really effective in a long-term career in poitics.

While others give him a place at the same table as Nixon, to me, he's just another Joe McCcarthy. Where others see genius, I see a failed carnival barker shouting his swan song to the quickly dissapearing crowd of rubes he's conned.

how'd that work out? he didn't have to be smart at all; he had dick cheney and karl rove and probably a cast of thousands. as noted above, trump has rightwing media, bannon, miller, stone, etc.

He rally knows how to get the rubes. It's a very dark super power. I mean look how much he's the subject here on DU. That's what I mean. He sucks all the air out of every conversation, including for his enemies.
