doesn't have any substance.
"He may get convicted, but it won't hold"
What a joke Avenatti is, and frankly so is Ari giving this jerk airtime.
Avenatti is unethical saying Stormy Daniels is a liar. That was his client. WTF is he calling his former client a liar.

(18,611 posts)Yesterday I lasted about five minutes. He was trying to normalize cheato's giving huge tax breaks to billionaires. It's not worth fighting through all his smug smirking and interrupting.

(93,981 posts)He is trying to normalize these jackasses, as if the right wing media doesn't do enough of that.

Avenatti was convicted of serious crimes.

(300,935 posts)lipstick to that pig. Ari needs to be heard from his audience.
So Avenatti turned TSF Cult in prison?

(711 posts)...and no longer a lawyer, I'm pretty sure ethics of don't hold a lot of meaning for him. Come to think about it, they didn't seem to mean that much while he in practice.
TexasDem69
(2,317 posts)Why are we surprised by any of this? And hes in prison because he is unethical. And why is an incarcerated felon giving interviews to anyone?
To think that it wasnt that long ago that folks on DU were Avenattis biggest fans . . .

(35,064 posts) I strongly disagree with Michael Avenatti's assessment of the strength and the value of the @ManhattanDA's prosecution of Donald Trump.
Unless he has seen all of the prosecution's evidence and knows all of their arguments in this case, Avenatti cannot predict or opine with accuracy.

Look what happened in 2016, a couple of celebrities come out and say "there was no difference between trump and Hillary", and like Pavlov's dog, they have no problem embracing that idiotic view.
Where has critical thinking gone?
Because someone says a few soundbites that are agreeable, without knowing anything about that person, they willingly assume he or she is fine on all the issues.
Caliman73
(11,767 posts)Critical thinking is often subsumed by EMOTION. While Liberals tend to be a little bit better than Conservatives at regulating those emotions, we are still susceptible to having judgement clouded. Some folks here consider legitimate policy criticism of their favorite candidates to be tantamount to treason and while we are not supposed to bash Democratic politicians here, I have seen bashing and I have seen allegations of bashing for the aforementioned critique of policy.
I remember the Avanetti for President thing. While his criticisms of Trump were accurate, it by no means meant that he had any place as a candidate. I remember saying that we needed to see way more of what he stood for before making a decision and we certainly did see way more, and it was not good.

(8,160 posts)setting aside all his ridiculous hip hop segues, this absurd Avenati interview is typical Ari...last week he hosted Karl Rove...in the past he's given a platform to Peter Navarro and a slew of Trump's former attorneys..
appmanga
(711 posts)...but Ari did get Navarro to confess to crimes on TV. That was the basis for Navarro being subpoenaed by the J6 Committee. Not showing up there earned him his current stay at The Graybar Hotel. But this thing with Avenatti was bullshit.

(22,191 posts)To have a lawyer that was literally convicted of a crime committed in the course of doing his work, not only come on to comment about legal matters, but a matter that he himself was professionally involved in at one point, is just beyond disgraceful. It would be like asking a Doctor convicted of intentionally mis-treating and harming their patients during heart surgery come on TV to give comments about one of the patients they intentionally harmed.
you would think NBC would know better after the disastrous few days of Romney McDaniel being a contributor.
