Kari Lake Called AZ Abortion Ban "Great Law"

After the Arizona Supreme Court today upheld their draconian 1864 abortion law which calls for 2-5 years in prison for anyone involved in performing an abortion, Kari Lake fired off a statement saying that she disagrees with the decision and hopes that the voters will overturn it in a referendum this November when her Senate race is also on the ballot against Ruben Gallego.

There's just one big problem for shameless, fraudulent Lake. She said the exact opposite repeatedly when she ran for Governor in 2022. During the 2022 debate, Lake said that she hoped that the Supreme Court would "do the right thing" and overturn Roe. She then talked about what would happen in Arizona if that happened:

"We have a great law on the books right now. If that happens, we will be a state where we will not be taking the lives of our unborn anymore."

But now that Kari got everything she wished for in 2022 - Roe overturned and that "great law" upheld by the AZ Supreme Court, Lake is singing a different tune. She fully understands after the abortion referendums around the country in 2023 that this has become a losing issue for Republicans, so she fired off a statement that she suddenly "opposes today's ruling" and wants to see voters overturn it in November.

Kari Lake is just like all the other opportunistic republicans, trying to ride the evangelical wave to victory by pandering to their desire to get rid of Roe and outlaw abortion nationwide. None of them ever thought that a lot of dogs would catch a lot of cars over the last couple of years.
