/?xmt=AQGzf4sbeZbbFHUPV-D_iVGDiPBrBhBgDZvLyAIae1EYVAI don't think enough people realize that if they WASTE their vote on RFK Jr, who has ZERO chance of winning, you risk NEITHER candidate getting 270 electoral votes, and then Marjorie Taylor Greene, Matt Gaetz, and Lauren Boebert get to pick FOR you.
And those MAGA clowns will 100% pick trump.
So I'll say it AGAIN:
A vote for RFK Jr is a vote for trump.

(12,412 posts)want to prolong the gridlock we have now with our two party system.
I'm solid Biden and Dem, but I am tired of no real progress on healthcare, bolstering SS, climate, and similar major issues.
Pointing fingers at the other side is getting old (no matter how at fault they are), but now is clearly not time for a protest vote. If this junk keeps up, I forsee a chance for a 3rd party candidate in 2028.

(6,552 posts)If Democrats had the senate and the house with Joe as president we could probably accomplish a lot. Until then its politics and more politics.

(12,412 posts)We are doing an excellent job of fighting GOPer BS, but something has to change (but not this year unless we actually capture Presidency and both chambers of Congress).

(20,384 posts)If the Republicans won't work with a Democratic President, why would they work with a third party one. Conversely, if they would work with one, meaning he or she was sufficiently RW enough for them, do you assume Democrats would be willing to work with such a person? We do not have a coalition system in this country, maybe someday we will, but for now it's a two party system and there is no viable third party with sufficient infrastructure to challenge either two.

(12,412 posts)who are willing to compromise to get something done. For example Im fine holding out for a 24 week to viability threshold on abortions, but that means that a bunch of people will still live in states where abortion is banned or strictly limited.
Pipe dream maybe, but I bet a bunch of folks see no end to gridlock.
Again, this is not the year.

(16,385 posts)So reaching 270 will happen for either Trump or Biden. Im confident it will be Biden.

(4,039 posts)Is there really polling that says that is possible? RFK could skew the vote toward Trump or Biden but I don't see him winning a single state.

(4,039 posts)and throw the vote to the House.
The question is will he take from Trump who he is clearly more aligned with, or are there enough people out there clueless enough to vote just for his name? and we are presuming those people would be Democrats.
in this case, I think 6 more months of campaigning favors Biden. Many voters now just know the Kennedy name.

(24,486 posts)to vote for who they perceive is the lesser of 2 evils when in this election it will be either Biden or Trump who will be the next president. That's it. It's sad that they seem unable to grasp the simple concept that our presidential elections are binary even after what happened with Al Gore and Hillary Clinton.

That crap agenda is what they are voting for.
