The Republican Assault Upon Consumers' Rights: the CFPB

There are several threads here acknowledging the FACT that corporations are price gouging the American consumer.

I hold that they are doing so because they know high prices will be a hot button issue for voters this November, so they are KEEPING them high, in a deliberate effort to help the MAGA candidate whose actions have benefited the wealthy and corporate America, while doing harm to the average consumer.

This was posted in one of those threads. I've decided to repost it in a thread of its own:

Corporations are PRICE GOUGING - deliberately and artificially keeping prices high to benefit Trump and the GOP - because with them in control, corporations and the wealthy elite would get away with paying zero taxes, and henchmen like Trump's Mick Mulvaney would be able to continue dismantling consumer protections.

"It's time to stop pretending this case is anything but a brazen power grab by corporate criminals and their loyal bagmen," one researcher said of a payday lender trade association's attack on the CFPB's funding structure.

OP-ED: Mick Mulvaney’s assault on consumer finances and the CFPB is illegal as well as wrong - The USConstitution Donald Trump is ignoring the Dodd-Frank law Congress wrote to prevent this.
