Something that puzzles me about this rise in anti-Semitism in America.

How can the same party be both anti-Semitic and pro-Israel? Trump was very pro-Israel. You would think this would drive a wedge within the party, but none exists visibly.

Trump is "pro-Israel" on behalf of Christian Evangelicals and Fundamentalists, not Jews.

His "base" sees Israel as necessary to provoke the (premature?) Second Coming of Jesus, the Apocalypse, and the raising of the true believers of Christ into Heaven. And in order to do that, Israel has to be close to whomever is in power in the U.S.

To Trump and his "base", Jews are necessary stewards of Israel until the Apocalypse. They won't go to Heaven with the Christians. And don't kid yourself: Jews are still seen as those who murdered their Savior.

Because ALL OF IT really is about getting to the apocalypse. The means to it may be messy and disagreeable, but it doesn't matter if that IS the way.

because too many cynically define anti-Netanyahu, anti-starvation as a military strategy, and anti-bombing UNICEF volunteers as "anti-semitic".

It's not designed to drive a wedge between Retrumplicans. It's designed to drive a wedge between Democrats, so that an actual Nazi can win the White House.

It's the same ploy as defining ANYONE protesting the murder of George Floyd as "anti-police".

They worship it as the place where their End Times fantasy takes place.

They have no respect for Judaism or Jews - in fact they abhor Judaism.

give a damn about Israel is because Israel has to exist for Armageddon to happen. And the Jews must convert or be sent to hell.

are many people who are genuinely upset with war crimes and genocide in Gaza. Both are a problem but they must not be confused.

by verbally and physically assaulting Jews, then they are antisemitic.

If they are protesting Jewish owned businesses, they are antisemitic.

If they are holding Jews around the world guilty for the actions of Israel, they are antisemitic.

If they hold the leadership of Israel responsible and demand they be removed, they are not being antisemitic.

8. Two reasons.

One, the American right wing is pro right wing currently dominating the Israeli government. They are not pro-Israel as a whole.

Two, antisemitism in America is politically agnostic. It has risen among both the right-wingers and the left-wingers. I don't know the statistics, but I suspect the rise in antisemitism is equally distributed across all political affiliations.
