I get it was a dramatic attack

But I'm tired of this religious obsession with Israel. American Evangelicals have infused politics with this death cult-like desire to promote and protect Israel as they see it as the vehicle to achieve a biblical prophecy about the end of the world.
Let's care a little more about Ukraine and a little less, just a little bit less, about Israel.
Tired of given billions of dollars in weapons to a country starving homeless, foodless, powerless, children to death so Jared Kushner can build some luxury hotels on their corpses.

vaguely reminiscent of the medieval antisemitic tropes and libels. Let's have a little bit less of that, please.

My OP is more a dig at American Evangelicals and their death cult like obsession with Israel and their twisted interpretation of biblical prophecy.

Yes, I did take a swipe at Israel for the treatment of Palestinians, especially with new reporting they are still blocking food aid reaching the camps in Gaza and the attacks on Palestinians in the West Bank by Israeli settlers that burned their homes and cars.
Also a swipe at trump and his SIL that expressed a desire to build hotels on the beach in Gaza once they clear out the Palestinians.

It's a all a complete shit show and the most powerless people in this whole saga are the children of Gaza who Kushner apparently wants to see get killed.

There are the tons of civilians dead, the absurdly high number of reporters killed, the oncoming famine and the inability to rid Gaza of Hamas but Israel is a comic strip villain and that is how people are portraying it. Is there anyone but you claiming that? Or are you just making things up again?

a country intentionally starving homeless, foodless, powerless, children to death so Jared Kushner can build some luxury hotels on their corpses and given billions of dollars in weapons to do so. And no, I wasn't the one who made this up.

But I thank you for highlighting some additional features that make up the nonsensically lopsided depictions of Israel as a singularly villainous comic strip character vaguely reminiscent of medieval antisemitic tropes and libels. This certainly lends more support to my claim.

15. No one is "making anything up"

Multiple organizations, including the US State Dept, the UN and the International Criminal Court, has noted that food assistance is being slowed and even blocked from getting into Gaza from Egypt. Its literally on video.
Reference: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2024/mar/28/famine-is-setting-in-icj-orders-israel-to-unblock-gaza-food-aid

Kushner, did in fact, make a statement that Israel should "clean them out of there" as its valuable waterfront property
Reference: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2024/mar/19/jared-kushner-gaza-waterfront-property-israel-negev
The murder of the 7 WCK volunteers has not only caused them but every other NGO to pull back in Gaza, which has dramatically impacted the situation in Gaza and especially to the children:
Reference: https://www.cnn.com/2024/04/04/middleeast/gaza-wck-aid-suspended-famine-intl/index.html

So is every NGO and western country all in on a conspiracy against Israel or is it more likely the Netanyahu government is using military to make Gaza suffer, especially those most vulnerable?
So no one is making any of this up, it's actually happening. Palestinian children are dying by the thousands waiting for food and medicine.

Let's leave it to the international courts to determine how much, if at all, Israel has contributed to "starving homeless, foodless, powerless, children to death", but claiming that the purpose of this was "so Jared Kushner can build some luxury hotels on their corpses" is not only an over the top metaphor and hyperbole, but it is completely made up.

they are preparing their radicalized populace (probably no higher percentage of crazies than our own) for the news.

sort of a 1/2 ass request for negotiations with a usa stay out of it clause.

i think that is a reasonable starting point.

now if our obsessively stupid media can give them room to spew a few great satans at the home fans, maybe, just maybe we can kick the armageddon can a little further down the road.

But Republicans in the House are obsessed. I'm truly surprised they haven't demanded Biden declare war yet.
Very familiar with American Evangelical thinking and anytime they hear anything about Israel and war they start drooling like Pavlov's dog in response. Desperately seeking the end of the world. Ultimately the thing that opened my eyes was this constant messaging on the "end times" that convinced me I could no longer ignore the things I had been ignoring

Iran has been fighting proxy wars through Hezbollah and Hamas
Israel killed an Iranian Hezbollah general in an Iranian consulate. (Iran - "Israel violated a law, so it's our excuse to attack)
Iran attacked
Israel will likely attack Iran in retaliation
Proxy wars will increase

I don't support that religious BS.
However, I don't support those Hamas and Hezbollah destroying Israel.

But hey, who knows what will happen 20 years from now.

To some on DU, you can't criticize Israel or Netenyahu without being called ir someone insinuating you are antisemitic or bringing up any number of antisemitic tropes.

Stop pretending. Have the courage of your own convictions. You've been critical of Israel for a long time, probably way before October 7.
