I listed to progressive radio frequently along with some other news/talk stations.
I'm get really frustrated with the amount of commercials for tax resolution firms who claim they will make your tax problems go away. I know things happen, but I have little sympathy for those that owe the IRS 5 figures plus. I know there are cases where things like medical emergencies can cause a issue with taxes, but these commercials sound like it just some silly Joe who forgot to file for 5 years and he gets to walk on taxes owed.
Does anyone else feel like me, or am I supposed to be more understanding?
BTW, a good summary on what is likely to happen, made me feel a bit better.:

(5,060 posts)I hear many of the same types of commercials on progressive talk radio which I hear on right-wing talk radio.

I can not stand advertisments of any kind. They literally freak me out and cause an angry reaction when they are forced on me. I know, that's abnormal, but whatever, it happens.
I also feel more comfortable paying in some way for the things I use and enjoy, especially when I know they actually are costing someone else money, so the star membership option is ideal for me.

(3,067 posts)My favorite pet peeve is that I HAVE to pay for cable so I can sit through another set of commercials!
And they seem to be strung together a dozen at a time!
Im over capitalism. Im tired of the double dipping / triple dipping so some clown who adds NOTHING to society can buy a different jet.

(22,456 posts)I'm old enough to remember when they were still pitching cable television to the public to replace broadcast tv. They told us that since we would be paying a subscription, there would be no more commercials. That lasted about a week.
I haven't had cable or tv of any kind for the last 20 years or so.
Oh, and I'm that person you see yelling at the gas pump to shut up when it tries to sell me a bottle of soda or somethng.
