(19,416 posts)When he gave that speech about ramming the ramparts and seizing the airports during the revolutionary war, he got like 40 different things wrong. And I remember the Freeperville thread on it, they were literally glowing with posts like, "People don't know that Trump is a fantastic historian and knows this stuff backwards and forwards, he's giving a lesson right now" I literally read that as he got the towns the wrong, the generals wrong, claimed there was airports 120 years before flight was invented. They were awestruck and he was giving them a lesson.
That's how stupid his followers are. They don't know the basics of American history nor the Constitution. Just pathetic imeciles.

(862 posts)The Confederacy was losing the war despite the victories at Fredericksburg and Chancellorsville. Vicksburg was about to fall (and did the day after Gettysburg). There were food riots in Richmond because the government was near broke and inflation had made Confederate money worthless.
After Vicksburg and Gettysburg and the tightening noose of the blockade U.S. Grant took over the Union armies. He and Lincoln knew how to use them to not just defeat the Confederacy but crush it with the available brute force.

A tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.
It doesn't matter what he says; he could read the phone book and they'd eat it up. They think he's hilarious. All that matters is that he's a living middle finger to Librulz.
