(81,266 posts)At some point he had to be medicated so he would not carry on like this in the court room and be taken out n restraints.

He looked really tired as he was making his little speech at the Courthouse. I can't imagine he is sleeping well these days.
Think. Again.

He is a deeply damaged person mentally and psychologically. Sleepy Don can't even stay awake for his trial. He spends most of his life jacke dup on uppers, no way was he going to be able to sit for something like this without making a fool out of himself.

(38,724 posts)Plus the courtroom is likely too warm for suit-and-tie-wearing.
Plus, it's probably boring.
NanaCat
(2,332 posts)Courtrooms tend to run on the cool side because wearing a suit is the norm, not the exception, for both sexes.

NanaCat
(2,332 posts)Most people taking a medication get only a few of them, or none. Some people might get weight loss. Some don't.
Someone getting all of a medication's potential side effects is the least likely outcome.

(1,172 posts)According to the NY Courts website, sleeping
In the courtroom during a criminal trial is not permitted. No drinking is permitted. I presume that bottle of water would be allowed, but I doubt that Coke is permitted. 😴

Hugin
(37,848 posts)From experience, I can say every one of those restrictions in a public venue can be traced back to some sort of an incident. They arent arbitrary and we all live in a history of the results of people trying to outsmart the system.

(9,148 posts)He can't walk down ramps without assistance, he's often winded, he's incontinent and craps his diapers in front of people, he garbles his words and can't spell or punctuate worth shit, his brain-to-mouth connection short circuits when he gives speeches, he has the classic dementia "leaning forward" posture, he was rushed to the hospital for a neurological evaluation when he was president, now he's falling asleep publicly.
Other than that, I can tell you, many people come up to him with tears in their eyes and say, "Sir, you are probably the healthiest male specimen in the world. You are physically perfect."
