The RANT light is on!

As liberal Democrats in a very RED area, we have stared down neighbors and risked life and limb to post Obama posters (at our expense) in the last two presidential campaigns.

We have marched in DC several times, in Selma, in St. Louis, in Madison, in Indianappolis and in Tampa---always in support of labor, civil and voting rights, Democratic candidates and liberal ideals.

We have contributed money to liberal candidates all over the country.

But, excuse me all to HELL---I have a question!

WHO WON THE LAST DAMN ELECTION!!!

Why in hell are we starting off budget negotiations with an admonishment to liberals that we'll have to "step up" and agree to cutting Medicare and Medicaid since the nice Republicans have finally decided to visit the real world and "consider" "revenue enhancements"?

And, crybaby Boehner is "insisting" that we put Obamacare "on the table"?

I have a fair-to-middlin' vocabulary and a couple of degrees, but I wouldn't use more than three words in responding to these Republican whores : KISS MY ASS!!!

They know how to scare people.

Green will not be a choice for many. Instead, it will be the lesser of two evils while we ship jobs to foreign countries, extend tax breaks to the super-rich, and adopt a version of Romney-care instead of Medicare for all.

His boss is the problem. It's Obama who keeps putting Medicare, SSI, etc. on the table. Anyone who didn't know he is a moderate Repug has not been been paying attention. He WANTS bipartisanship, really almost seems to need it when he's not campaigning. We, who voted for him, need to push hard to have any chance in hell of him not selling us out. His natural inclination is to just give in and not fight - NOT ACCEPTABLE.

They know they are on notice and skating on thin ice. They have already started telling Grover to take a hike. They can't play "make Obama a one-termer" anymore. They play the obstruction card at their risk now.

So, now is a good time to play hardball.

You NEVER, NEVER go into a negotiation asking for what you want or expect to get. You go in asking for more and expect to give something up along the way.

So right now we should be taking a hard line and doing so LOUDLY.

Red state here too, and all the rest, Atticus. Did I see a copy of that GD document on here somewhere a couple weeks ago? If so, somebody please link to it. I want to see where that thing says that the so callled "Grand Bargain" was "heretofore forever and ever" the deal. They got what they wanted, i.e. the Bush tax cuts..right? And what did we get? Didn't they blackmail us with unemployment payments... it was Christmas time as I remember, and the unemployment rate hadn't started to fall yet? McConnell would filibuster the unemployment extension if they didn't get their tax cuts?

The "Grand Bargain" is off the table. Obamacare is the law of the land. That deal was settled back then. This is now, we won the effing election.

I think Plouffe was just floating a balloon. And it blew up in his face. I just can't believe the Democratic Party will throw it's base to the curb yet again. I just can't believe it. I'm hanging on until the bloody end...

I would appreciate it if they would use a little chapstick first, my ass is rather delicate. And the way republicans talk with their hard words I know them lips are chapped. Personally we have worked hard in every area surrounding our President. I am prepared to fight Republicans tooth and nails. The republicans have not learned any lessons. they are gearing up to figure out which new LIE will work on the Electorate. Even if they were to get in charge they have already shown and told us that they will not Govern for all the people. As our President has said he is behind 100 percent of the Country but 98 percent will be affected by his policies. The top 2 percent don't need help. They have acquired quite a bit of Wealth in the last 12 years. They have apparently already have helped themselves. When the President says 98 percent of americans it covers all backgrounds. When Republicans throw out their numbers its like 47 percent and 30 percent. Its black people are lazy. The unemployed don't want to work and living off their unemployment. Welfare queens driving Cadillacs. Illegals coming across the boarder. And young women are sluts. This is the big tent party. Funny I wonder how anyone can remain in the party, that had regular meetings on C street. How is former Senator Ensign?????
