(98,466 posts)He was amazing there. He destroyed DeJoy.
And for the record, President Biden cannot fire Dejoy only the board can do that.
The Trump donor whom Biden cant fire is running the U.S. Postal Service directly into the groundjust what everyone warned about when he was confirmed during the pandemic

(38,874 posts)Or Rep came in, heaven and earth moved to respond immediately. I would bet thats the experience of most others in that situation. The idea that DeJoy either deliberately ignored the letter or is so incompetent that he didnt have a procedure in place to call his attention to this letter and take appropriate action is outrageous.

(98,466 posts)However I am going with incompetent and no procedure in place. He is a trumper after all.

(1,445 posts)gives me the impression of a very ignorant person. But then again he was put there to dismantle because he certainly is not capable of good planning or thinking.

(28,624 posts)tires started squealing, rubber started peeling--they. MOVED. to respond. It takes DeJoy's level of cosmic incompetence to fail to respond. Heads ought to roll over that failure--starting with deJoy's!

(9,961 posts)One letter with a wrong address was returned to me after 8 months!!! My daughter to this day has not gotten her Valentine's card I sent this year. A friend sent a letter from Colorado in early March that has not gotten here. This has become a mess everywhere, and the prices for mail have gone sky high.

OMFG.
Heres a phrase bonehead. The respect due to the office.

(8,954 posts)That is what he seems to imply, is it not?
How much does DeJoy get paid?
$313,180 in 2022. per google.
Total Compensation package by general estimates is $428,000 per annum.

(28,624 posts)They should give him a dollar a year UNTIL he gets the mess cleaned up.

(9,150 posts)DeJoy and he's asked any tough questions he goes into that familiar corporate big-shot condescending mode where he sort of snorts a laugh and then tries to deflect or just straight out fails. I've lived a long time and worked high on the hog and low and these kinds make me want to puke because every one of them I ever had exposure to was piss-poor at doing their job and only had their abilities at office politics and being a snake to keep them afloat. Worthless scum.

(9,150 posts)"red tag" letters because every secretary and assistant was under strict orders that if you got a letter from an elected official or a regulator you were to immediately drop anything you are doing and make a copy of the letter and walk the original and the copy to your boss wherever in the building they were and it didn't matter if you had to barge into a meeting to hand it to them. You were to treat those letters like the place was on fire. So the staff referred to it as "red tagging" something incoming.

Like, what do you think happens when a representative or Senator receives a complaint letter from a constitutent? They group them together and act on them like Ossoff is doing here. Weird to call out our Reps on a video of one of them doing exactly what he should be doing. I mean, did you get to the part where he discusses the distress felt by the people of Georgia as a result of DeJoy's abysmal incompetence?

(17,396 posts)DeJoy was destroyed by Sen. Ossoff. When is his replacement taking over?
I only contacted my representative once, and got a reply from a staffer thanking me for my concerns.
Prairie Gates
(8,479 posts)Not me. It also has zero to do with the post I responded to.
Point stands: It's extremely weird for you to call out the Democratic Senator for doing exactly what you say does not happen (reps being responsive to constituent concerns).
