That seems a little odd to me. But what do I know. Does anyone else know?

I'm sure there are exceptions, but I would expect there to be a lot of educated folks based on income level alone.

(19,281 posts)I recall seeing that there are 13 districts in the state: 7 upstate and 1 on Long Island which are comprised of multiple counties and then each borough of NYC is its own.

(22,902 posts)That tipped the balance away from hourly workers. So, they're either rich, retired, or salaried where you can be allowed to sit on a jury. That requires education, at least for the retired and salaried.
Honestly, I know lots of new yorkers. They're tough, they're not easily intimidated. They'll fry his ass. They will.
