With Smelvis being seriously wounded metaphorically and folks preoccupied with voting in Congress, it appears that many have forgotten the importance of this date 4/20
Light up folks.
As the great Peter Tosh would said -legalize It.

(43,649 posts)The worst problem we have is that banks canโt get involved so no credit or debit cards. Itโs one of the reasons stolen KIAs are driven into pot shops and cash and product is stolen, though I imagine most people take the money home at night. Otherwise though, itโs just not a thing. My favorite shop is woman owned and operated and is a great little business.

(29,086 posts)I voted for legalization (and would again) but I didn't realize that half of Seattle (and the light rail) would stink most of the time or that people would use so openly. If I cracked a beer waiting for a bus, I would be ticketed. The other day I was waiting for a ferry and instead of the smell of the sea and the shore.....the stench of weed.
I can also live without those garish billboards and ragingly ugly storefronts. I suppose that's all small potatoes in the large scheme of things, but when I voted yes for something that basically other people wanted, I would hope they'd reciprocate by being considerate about the smell and open usage.

(34,540 posts)but evil weed is a serious and dangerous thing here. We almost got a tiny law allowing a few very sick people to have it under very strict conditions but they ripped that away at the last minute. We are just short of going back to making airplanes take the drinks away from passengers as they flew over our state so there ya go....the stuff is everywhere and easy to get but it is risky here. The law to search vehicles as we crossed the border back into Kansas did not go over very well thank goodness.
We did finally get CBD, what a battle.

(113,131 posts)and I gulped down an edible (mango flavor, yum) a couple of minutes ago, didn't want to wait for 4:20, sorry. It'll probably start coming on just about then.
Thanks to the House Republicans who'd had enough of Johnson's game playing and issued some very credible threats to him and their clown colleagues for making this 4/20 even better. Never thought I'd say THAT.

(113,131 posts)I ordered some 3 packs last week, so I had them on hand.
I got baked rather than lightly toasted (it was 4/20, after all) and only managed 3 of the lemon cremes over 4 hours. Those are ultra rich cookies with no artificial lemon, they use real lemon zest and it shows.
I'm so glad I live in a civilized wild west state.

Peter Tosh was a powerful man! I think I've told you one of my nieces lives near his daughter in Boston. She & her son visited me yesterday, and she mentioned that Peter's daughter is doing well.

(15,359 posts)I just found I could get Equinox and Crystal Ball for a great price on one disk. I had those vinyl's back in the day but had not heard either entire album for over 40 years.
I had a few hits and one of my homemade edibles to mark 4/20.

(4,044 posts)I realize now I should have f*cked with a few of them and said "That's Merry 420."
Good discounts today. Been waiting for weeks.
In Southern Florida, the price of excellent flower continues to hold or go lower as the potency rises. This is the free market. There are many dispensaries and companies duking it out.
I'm paying half what I was from the same dispensaries compared to two-three years ago. A number of flower products are above 30% THC. (Even if the rated potency is exaggerated, these things are delicious.)
And speaking of delicious, unlike the flower, they keep trying to raise the price of edibles. But today, $10 for a 100mg chocolate bar. I stocked up.
