I saw it on Facebook, and I blocked the ad before making a copy. But it's still grating to think about it.
In an appeal to get money, the ad asks for Five dollar donations to pay for Bibles for Persecuted Christians.
There it is folks. These idiots think that they're the ones that are pushed back on their heels in this country.
What nonsense.

(1,782 posts)mind defining who you think the "idiots" are?
Perhaps you mean the Burmese Christian refugees who are moving here to escape oppression?
Or do you think all Christians are "idiots" ?

Who are you referring to as "idiots" ?

(46,757 posts)when we all know that influential Christian groups in this country are undermining our Constitution in order to take a dominant position in our every day life.

(1,782 posts)this very post you are calling Christians "idiots".
Frankly, as a Christian, I don't appreciate it. The hate here for Christians is off the chain, and I find it unacceptable.

(4,462 posts)hate and ridicule grifters who act very un-Christ like in Christs name. Those people seem to have risen to undeserved prominence in the Christian communities. They have perverted Christianity for their own purposes - and should be condemned for it. Even by true Christians.

So, there we have it identified as people who are going to make a brazen appeal for money. And then I point out that it's an ad that is asking for donations for persecuted Christians. So, the idiots are obviously people who think that Christians are persecuted.
No where did I say all Christians. Just the idiots who think that Christians are persecuted.
But I can understand the confusion. Just the other day I wrote a post about how the conservative right Christians are stealing Jesus as well as the flag. To paraphrase, I mentioned it was an alienating experience, because they are unlike any Christian that I grew up with. So, if someone wants to come up with a good tag to define their version of Christianity and the rest of us, I'm all for it. Maybe White Jesus Christians versus Jewish born Jesus? It's just a start. I welcome suggestions.

(1,782 posts)exactly what I'm talking about.
I'm shocked that this sort of bias and hatred is allowed here. But I guess it's all good when it's directed at Christians.
It's shameful. Then again, some have no shame I guess.

Making it the law women cannot receive emergency medical care.
Cannot travel to get medical care.
All in the name of Christianity.
I was raised a Christian and consider myself a Christian.
I say Christian prayers and celebrate Christian holidays.
But I am thinking of drop kicking that self label into the trashcan where it belongs.
Once Christians declared open season on women, I am done with them.

(14,047 posts)Black Christians overwhelmingly support Joe Biden. Black churches are instrumental in social Justice fights and getting black voters to the polls. So do Hispanic Catholics. So theres still some people doing good in the name of Christianity.

(36,905 posts)There are mainly two types of Christians in America today:::
Political Christians and Christians of faith.
Many Christians do not consider other variations of Christians to be genuine Christians.
Many Catholics/Protestants do not consider the other to be real Christians.
