#NEW: Louisiana lawmakers have passed a new LA Supreme Court map. The plan creates a second majority-black district on the state's highest court

It's the first time the districts have been redrawn in 27 years. The map now goes to Gov. Landry for signature http://tinyurl.com/mvaem2vp

There was going to be new a majority Black district no matter what, but there were a couple of alternatives in how to draw it. Garrett Graves had the audacity to endorse someone else in the recent Governor's race, so when Jeff Landry was elected, he made sure the lines were drawn in such a way that eliminated Graves' district.
