(17,485 posts)It's why I don't get exercised about the campus protests. There are serious people in our government, doing serious work to resolve the current M.E. conflict. Those folks will have way more impact in resolving the crisis than some college protesters.
These protests smack of classic Roger Stone rat-fuckery. The "tell" is in how they are being exploited to the benefit of the nazi Retrumplicans.
They news reports are attempting to make those protests the next migrant caravan.

(46,266 posts)how so-called Progressives and others flock to these random people who show up every 4 years and act like they are qualified to be president.
Where has Stein been since her last run? Has she run for lower office? Did anything that vaguely resembles governing? Did RFK Jr, Cornell West, etc do any of that?
Have these people run for city council and get back to me.

(29,221 posts)as the power enemy are Democrats. Tulsi Gabbard is my favorite example, Nina Turner second. For years and years it was no no no she's totally progressive and more of a Democrat than Democrats until ... not. But saying things makes it true!

(2,532 posts)Like Trump, she hears words and repeats them, but has no idea what those words mean. She has heard the word holocaust, knows it means something bad, but has no idea why it's bad. She has no idea how it relates to Poland. She does know that she wants a piece of the power action.

This is a bit of a campaign logistics "no-no". You set yourself up for stupid stuff like this.

Hell, I'm no scholar but I know more history than the crap she's spewing.

(7,155 posts)They were attacked, persecuted, murdered and told they were not welcome. In fact, it was post-war persecution in Eastern Europe that eventually opened up Palestine to Jewish immigration.

(4,370 posts)She obviously meant Homeland not Poland except to the conspiracy theorists.
DFW
(60,364 posts)Just like she cares about the people of South Sudan, or the Uyghurs of Xingkiang, or the Rohingya of Burma, or the Muslims of India.
Her concern is noted--or, that is, it would be if it were real. Just Gaza? Credibility; zero.
Ping Tung
(4,370 posts)Do you think she and Bernie Sanders and other American Jews shouldn't care about the victims in Gaza? Do you think that the U.S.A. should be arming the killers?
Do you care about the civilians being killed in Gaza?
mcar

(4,370 posts)Though I wouldn't be surprised that Bernie does.
Most of the Greens and Socialists I've known are generally humanitarians. I'm pretty sure that many of them are now protesting against the slaughter in Gaza. So are many Democrats, Independents, and others. Even Nancy Pelosi wants to end supply arms to Israel. I rather doubt that she and the other progressive Democrats doing the same are "Putin Puppets" or pro-Hamas.

(90,538 posts)Honestly, WHAT ON EARTH does she think she brings to the table? (Other than total disruption and screwing the Dems - maybe out of spite because they've never offered her a public coronation?)

I'm no fan of Jill Stein, I just like truth instead of emotional manipulation. Let's leave that BS for the GOP.
