9. Two points.

1. When the DOJ is in a polician's pocket, we're screwed.

2. SCOTUS was 100% clear. Jack Smith appealed. The appeal was sent back--to (L) outcries--to the appeal court. Smith's appeal wasn't "ripe".

The SCOTUS order was clear. Letter by letter. They didn't accept Trump's appeal. (In fact, they ignored it.) They accepted Smith's. Jack-o could have withdrawn his appeal at any time, but, you know, formally this is an appeal brought by Biden's DOJ. 'Full stop.

Could Jackie still withdraw his appeal? Dunno. But as of 4 hours ago, he hadn't.--and oral arguments are essentially over.

Options:
Bounce back to appeal (to be considered on that court's schedule)
Or ...

Trump has full immunity (an insane conclusion)
Trump has no immunity (also an insane conclusion)
There are limits to immunity ... Maybe his actions in 2020 are immune, maybe not ... There are more cases in SCOTUS' future as a result.
