Current Demonstrations Are Glimpse Into The Future

Last edited Sat Apr 27, 2024, 07:05 PM - Edit history (2)

For all of those people who think voting against Biden is a way of sending a "message", look at how Republicans, the Trump cult and their supporters are reacting to the demonstrations.

Look at Speaker Johnson, listen to the right-wing rhetoric and watch the police use of force. Now imagine a Trump administration. Do you think the Gaza situation would improve? Do you think Bibi would get less support or be restrained? How about the police?

I remember 2016 and listening to some of my very Liberal friends trying to rationalize a Stein vote or a blank. They couldn't see a difference between Hillary and Trump. Well, looking at the Supreme Court, now they can. A difference that will last the rest of their lives.

A President's term is not just 4 years. Court appointments last a literal lifetime.

I told my husband that these might be the last protests that are allowed in our lifetimes if Trump manages to seize the reins of power again. It's a terrifying thought.

Saving American Democracy.

If we don't accomplish that, nothing else matters.

He belongs in jail. When Biden wins, I will speak out against all the things I always spoke out against. I have always been against police actions against minorities and peaceful protesters. I always have been for a 2-state solution and, as I said, I think Trump's friend, Bibi is a threat to the whole middle East, not just Israel.

But if Trump wins, those problems will be the least of the problems for American citizens.

the end to sending arms to Israel. I will vote for Biden while supporting the protests..and I think that most of the protesters will do the same.
