12. I was just thinking the other day about how insane things get in an election year

...it does seems like things are ramping up. I know who I'm voting for so I don't need to get swept up in anything else, and have been thinking of taking it easy myself. It's good to be in a place where it's all pretty nice and people are all pretty friendly, if we can turn off the computer and step out from time to time.

of the emotion attached to the issue and potential for disruption and division among us.

Unfortunately that is no longer the case, and most anything relating to that issue goes.

While it isn't as bad as what happened in 2016, the potential is there.

My only thoughts is that because of the current situation, parts of DU have become a toxic environment, and that isn't right.

If something specific happened where you had a post removed, and believe it was not fair, I would strongly encourage you to appeal.

A lot of us have been in the same situation as you have.

I rarely post and I am much less active than I was in the humble DU beginnings.

Back in the day I think a lot of us invested more time and did more research. I detest twitter and the damage I think it has done to our world. I suppose in a word...I've become an old fuddy duddy.
