The best measure of the health care system of a country is the life expectancy rate. Even though we pay three times per capita for health care cost the United States.. . . wait for it . . . . .25th in the world in life expectancy. Croatia is 26th. Did I mention that the United States is around 4% of the world population but even with our "superior" health care system we have around a 16% of the worlds Covid deaths.

We are screwed.

And please don't repeat the talking points of corporatized medicine that it is our life style. While this has an impact, this does not explain why we are 4 times the world average per capita in Covid deaths.

The Balkan country is currently a tourism hotspot. The next time this evaluation is done, Croatia may be our envy.

2. We should aspire to have as good a health care system as Uzbekistan or Cuba.

Health care in the US is not about extending life expectancy, it is all about making money...heaps and gobs of money.
