MSNBCs Lawrence ODonnell explains how former White House Press Secretary Hope Hicks testimony in Donald Trumps criminal trial shows how her motto of deny, deny, deny enabled the Trump White House.

(61,033 posts)I believe through to tne end, J6 included. IMO anyone still clinging to their position (or was it paycheck?) to the end had no awareness of the evil that they were facilitating, or not a care about it at all.
She wasn't the trump admin press sec'y though...I think maybe the 2016 campaign press sec'y.

(49,288 posts)She went to Los Angeles to work as a communications officer for Fox Media.
Hicks, 31, served as a top communications aide before leaving the White House in 2018 to take a position at the Fox Corporation in California. The announcement of Hick's departure came a day after she testified before the House Judiciary Committee during the Mueller investigation. Hicks will likely begin in early March, although the timeline isn't set in stone.
Hicks' return comes after the formal conclusion of two monumental investigations into the president the Russia investigation and the impeachment saga.
Hicks is returning to the White House out of a sense of duty and purpose, a source close to Hicks said. While she was enjoying her life in the corporate world, outside the White House, she's returning partly due to a sense of duty to this president and this administration. The former model had been considering a return over the past few months.

(102,780 posts)If I weren't so exhausted, I'd really be on top of it.
I helped a pal drive over 500 miles, round trip, to go get something, an ebike, in another state. These states are big out here and it takes a while to get somewhere. We had to go over the Continental Divide and three other passes to get there but there was a stop at a hot springs and that really helped.
I got online after nap#2 and here I am with at least three cylinders firing.

(81,259 posts)Wow that is a long time and over the mountains.
Scary and tiring.
You just stop you car and hop into the hot springs?

(102,780 posts)We passed through Lava Hot Springs, Idaho. It's almost a sin not to go soak for a few. It's a very nice, developed facility, heated floors in the changing suite. Really hot water. (+112F). There are a few places, if you know where they are, where you could just walk a short distance and access hot springs along rivers in the region. They can be fun too.
It was a pretty nice day and we were in a town-car so it wasn't a rough trip. Took out the back seat and everything fit just fine.
We were home by 12:15 am.

Glad you got home safe and sound.

(102,780 posts)To go to that hot springs since I live up in Montana on the other side of the park. We have several in the area but they aren't like Lava which is about 30 miles from the nearest interstate.

(13,018 posts)For posting. I could not wait to see the second airing last night after missing the first. I set my auto tune for 1:00 AM to see it. I woke up at around 1:55 to see His Final Word of the show.
I was so disappointed, and hoped someone here would post the segment.
Thank you thank you!!
Lawerence nailed it. A perfect analysis of her damage to our country.
He may be getting some more evil stares in that courtroom from The Hicks cult, that adore women like her, and a Noem,, because they Look pretty and accept the evil the are just for that.
And thank you Lawrence ODonnell. A real treasure.

(154 posts)Agnifilo: Hicks said after Trump was President, they had a conversation about the payment to Stormy Daniels and what he said was its a good thing the story didnt come out before the election at that moment she started to cry. She just basically gave the prosecution what they needed.
