In 1932, this Nazi said this before the Night of Long Knives. In 2023, these GOPers said this about Trump.

George Strasser: I am a man marked by death. We shall not be able to go on seeing each other for long and in your own interests I suggest you do not come here any more. Whatever happens, mark what I say: From now on Germany is in the hands of an Austrian who is a congenital liar Adolf Hitler, a former officer who is a pervert [homosexual] Ernst Röhm and a clubfoot Joseph Goebbels. And I tell you the last is the worst of them all. This is Satan in human form.

How is this different from these quotes about Agent Orange:

Mark Esper, Secretary of Defense: “I think he’s unfit for office.…He puts himself before country. His actions are all about him and not about the country. And then, of course, I believe he has integrity and character issues as well.”

Mike Pence, Vice President: “The American people deserve to know that President Trump asked me to put him over my oath to the Constitution. … Anyone who puts himself over the Constitution should never be president of the United States.”

Gen. Mark Milley, Joint Chiefs of Staff chairman: “We don’t take an oath to a wannabe dictator. We take an oath to the Constitution and we take an oath to the idea that is America—and we’re willing to die to protect it.”

John Kelly, Chief of Staff: “A person that has nothing but contempt for our democratic institutions, our Constitution, and the rule of law. There is nothing more that can be said. God help us.”

than the anger of an isolated man whom Hitler stripped from all offices in 1932, even before he took power. in 1933. If he foresaw his death, he did nothing, sticking around until July 1934 when Himmler settled scores with the man who employed him in the first place.

'Joseph Goebbels ... is the worst of them all' is a bit rich, given Strasser recruited Goebbels in 1925, and together they wrote the NSDAP political program.

as well as his obvious enemies. No one is safe. One disagreement, refusal to follow one abhorrent order, or any appearence of enough charisma to compete with his leadership--and he'll take you out.

Those who propped him up deserve it.
The problem is all who have stood up to him and don't.

How many Republicans know about the Night of the Long Knives?
Crazy that any of them think they could get what they want with Trump.

Maybe the GOP can eat their own and do some purges. Trump is already robbing the RNC so less money for other GOP candidates.

He is to stupid to think up and execute a plan. His business history speaks to this.

We have a seditious conspiracy by the Reich wing billionaires to overthrow our government. When are the authorities going to intervene, like they did against the black panthers, for far less?
