Claimed she didn't know that was in the book (excuse me, Kristi, WHO wrote this book?) and asked to have it removed when it came to her attention. I know how things go on farms, which is why the life never appealed to me even during the hippie farming resurgence.

Anything that eats but doesn't earn its keep has to go, whether it's an old hen who's stopped laying, a sheep past wool production, a cow past peak milk production...or a dog that is a poor guard dog but nips the kids too hard during play. Chances are her father said the dog had to go and for one reason or another, she got stuck doing the job. A shot between the eyes was instantaneous and as humane as farms get.

So her story doesn't bother me that much, although it freaks out people who would never want it done to Rover or Fluffy. I know what farms are like. That's why I don't live there.

What bothers me more is her confabulation of that North Korea story. No, she didn't cross over the DMZ, that's a good way to get plugged. People who go there fly into Pyongyang. If she wanted to lie about it, she should have at least made it more plausible. She's too pig ignorant to do that.

Another thing is her leadership style. During Covid, she did NOTHING, saying stupid things like "let people decide for themselves" while the death toll mounted. She now calls that "strong leadership."

She's lazy, she's ignorant, she lies, and she has zero insight into why these things might be a problem. She's one of the worst specimens the Republicans have produced. Putting down a farm dog who wasn't earning his keep pales in comparison.

or, in the case of the dog in question, bury them. Farm dogs are working dogs and a dog that wasn't getting it would be unaffordable. High plains farms are far apart and even farther from the state's cities, which is where they'd have to go to find a Humane Association.
