Peter Baker (NYT) and his smug son are FEUDING with Hakeem Jefferson

I believe Peter's and Susan Glasser's (The New Yorker) son Theo was the one who got the Stanford U. President to resign. So he's become quite arrogant.

Anyway . . . Theo sent emails to Hakeem Jeffries and then freaked out on Twitter when he was called out on it and deleted his tweets.

Good thing someone got screencaps.

austerity is theft 🇿🇦
@wideofthepost
the level of uninhibited entitlement of this kid is so embarrassing

With Theo Baker saying Hakeem Jefferson doesn’t understand the true nature of journalistic objectivity, since objectivity means being able to call Trump a liar, worth remembering Peter Baker saying that objectivity means *not* ever calling Trump a liar.

@hakeemjefferson
You may find this useful:

“I never make up my mind, even in the privacy of the kitchen… that one candidate is better than another, that one side is right and the other wrong.”

Indeed, Peter Baker thinks objectivity means never saying Trump is wrong.

We shouldn’t criticize people for their parents’ actions. But here Theo was defending his father’s actions; the critique is of what Theo said.

Theo is not his dad. But here he is defending his dad from an accusation of false objectivity, so I think this particular quote is quite relevant.

Thanks for standing up for what’s right here.

The way Theo Baker, son of @peterbakernyt
, deleted all those condescending tweets 🤣🤣🤣

The entitlement reeks to the high heavens.

Hey remember when THE ATLANTIC ran a cover story by Peter Baker’s kid a month ago about how his pro-Palestinian classmates at Stanford are all a bunch of antisemites? Because Peter Baker doesn’t seem to remember.

Also seems relevant that Theo Baker is publicly feuding with a Stanford professor over criticism of his dad’s tweet.

It's also weird since most people don't know who this Hakeem Jefferson is?
