In a second term, Trump intends to address 'a bias against white'

As his team prepares to protect white people from discrimination, Donald Trump says he’s concerned about the “problem” related to the “bias against white.”

https://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow-show/maddowblog/second-term-trump-intends-address-bias-white-rcna150556

It was about a month ago when Axios reported that in a prospective second term for Donald Trump, his team intends to “dramatically change the government’s interpretation of Civil Rights-era laws to focus on ‘anti-white racism’ rather than discrimination against people of color.” Asked for comment, the Republican’s campaign didn’t exactly deny its interest in rolling back policies designed to address systemic racism.

The former president, his spokesperson said, “is committed to weeding out discriminatory programs and racist ideology across the federal government.”.....

But as part of the same exchange, the former president went on to say, “I think there is a definite anti-white feeling in this country and that can’t be allowed either.” Asked how he’d address this from the White House, Trump added:

I don’t think it would be a very tough thing to address, frankly. But I think the laws are very unfair right now. And education is being very unfair, and it’s being stifled. But I don’t think it’s going to be a big problem at all. But if you look right now, there’s absolutely a bias against white and that’s a problem.

Or put another way, Trump isn’t entirely sure what he'd do, but he’s nevertheless certain there’s a “problem” related to the “bias against white.”....

Let’s say for the sake of conversation that recent polling is right and a meaningful number of Black voters really are prepared to overlook Trump’s many failures and lengthy record of overt racism.

If that’s the case, shouldn’t the Republican at least try to keep these voters on board? Why in the world would Trump tell Black communities in an election year that he’s deeply concerned about the “problem” related to the “bias against white,” as his team prepares to shift the federal government’s focus to protecting white people from discrimination?

and might not help with black voters very much because they will see a black man suck up to blonde Trump and say "who the hell does he think he is?"

like with Justice Thomas, the guy running for governor of NC, the so-called doctor over health of Florida, et al.

But when the Magas' constantly spew hatred and violence against anyone who disagrees and opposes their screwed-up ideology and belief, their main conclusion is to attack. That includes majority such as Whites and POC.

Therefore, it does not matter what race you are because they will come after you.

It didn't work in 2020. I admit there is a grievance by others against your maga scum, anti-democracy, pro-fascist crowd...and it's justified.

There are millions of Republicans who honestly think that white male straight Christians are the victims and that everything in the country is easier for non white male straight Christians. They've spent a generation now whining about it and they blame everything that goes wrong on DEI.

It's absolutely ridiculous to anyone with even a slight awareness of the world, but it's what they've bought into.

8. An older cousin I'm fond of posted a video of some guy carrying on about political correctness.

I decided to watch it to see what they called PC & one of the man's complaints was that they had to be careful with language now, careful with what they called people, careful with what they said, especially in the work place. I don't have words for how disappointed I was & I realized then that I didn't really know this cousin that well when we were kids. We had a few written exchanges & he didn't deny that there was plenty of racism still, but he denied that it held anyone back. He felt that we'd bent over backwards to give opportunities to minorities & women & the playing field was mostly level now. ~gasp! A few years later he supported Trump & again in 2020. He thinks there were "election irregularities" & that Biden didn't win legitimately, but he was happy to be one of the first in line to get a vaccine after Biden got them distributed. I suspect he'll vote Trump again. We don't really communicate anymore.

9. Don't even get them started on pronouns

They think that some people having their preferred pronouns on their email signatures is the greatest crime against them in history. As if calling someone them is any different than them calling someone Mr., Mrs, or by a shorter version of their given name.

They're absolutely oblivious to the fact that them being straight white Christian male has given them a leg up on basically every single aspect of life. They don't realize that everyone else has to work harder than they do for what they have.

And DEI, boy, check any thread on anything and you'll find them blaming DEI. Boeing plane issues, DEI for sure. The border, DEI. War, DEI. etc etc. Nope, no DEI here dudes, still the same old crusty straight Christian white guys running everything in this country.
