Ex-Republican Georgia Lt. Governor Will Vote for Biden

Former Georgia Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan (R) writes in the Atlanta Journal Constitution that Republicans should vote for President Biden.

“Yes, elections are a binary choice. Yes, serious questions linger about President Biden’s ability to serve until the age of 86. His progressive policies aren’t to conservatives’ liking.”

“But the GOP will never rebuild until we move on from the Trump era, leaving conservative (but not angry) Republicans like me no choice but to pull the lever for Biden. At the same time, we should work to elect GOP congressional majorities to block his second-term legislative agenda and provide a check and balance.”

“The alternative is another term of Trump, a man who has disqualified himself through his conduct and his character.”

The purity test of blind loyalty to Trump no matter what he says or does has gone too far even for the usual conservatives.

It won't be the hardcore. In a way maybe there will be some but it will be by way of not voting.

Keep in mind the way one votes or doesn't vote will determine the math.

Anyone that voted for Trump in 2020
.. doesn't vote - takes a vote from Trump
.. doesn't vote for either - takes a vote from Trump

.. votes for Biden - gives Biden a two vote change

are they just NOW figuring out Trump is a threat to America? Here's a tip for you Duncan: the repuke party stunk it up LONG before Trump arrived on the scene.......go fuck yourself and the rest of your "conservatives"

The operative word is block. Notice he doesn't say "work with Biden to ensure the American people are served."

He may not vote for Trump, but he's still using the Trump approach to governing -- "It's my way or the highway."

I'll take his vote for Biden, however.
